Итак,собственно теперь нам известно,что новый альбом Life Starts Now осчастливит нас своим появлением 22 сентября этого года. Первый сингл,который мы услышим,будет называться "Break".
В этой теме предлагаю разместить все мнения по поводу этого альбома :)

И глубже на мой слух. Новый имидж группы тоже изменился в лучшую сторону. Особенно он идет Адаму. Адам- умница похудел, осталось только курить бросит

За два дня прослушивание безумно понравилась песня *Last to Know* мне кажеться что это лучшая песня у Адама. Как то по новому слышится Адам, наверно потому-что нет этой долбежки музыкальной и криков Адама,очень приятная песня тихая и спокойная.

А я знаю - потому что песня чувственная. Мне она тоже нравится, а когда я читала перевод, внутри что-то трепетало.

Согласна со всем, кроме "тихая и спокойная", все же на 2 минуте 22 секунде проявляются более сильные эмоции)) В общем Last to Know и Lost in You сейчас самые любимые из всего альбома

Life Starts Now Review

Once again Canada delivers on the front of finding good music. This time in the form of Alternative/Grunge band Three Days Grace. I'll be honest, after their lack luster sophomore album One-X i was a bit hesitant on listening to their latest effort, but the funny thing about surprises is that its best to not see them coming, and that has to be the best way to describe their third album Life Starts Now. What makes this album succeed in almost all accounts is that the song writing is definitely more focus this time around. Band frontman Adam Gontier has written songs which are both vastly attention grabbing and sometimes tear-jerking in just the right way. It should also be noted that bassist Brad Waist makes an amazing ascension from your typical grunge bassist to the bassist who carries almost the ENTIRE album on their back (tracks Break You and World So Cold are prime examples of this). The opening track Bitter Taste is an overly intense yet highly focused track in both lyrics and form. The same can be said for most of the album. Every instrument stands out in a paramount way but blend seamlessly together for the betterment of the song, which is something a lot of bands seem to fail to accomplish. The standout tracks have to be their latest single Break which is an unforgiving bloody fist of a song, the grandest highlight is certainly how the bass and drums battle it out throughout the song while complimenting Gontier's vocals, The Intro to The Good Life feels like spiders crawling up your arm yet surprisingly feels very good (thank lead guitarist Barry Stock for that). despite the overall brash presentation of songs there are also the soft somber moments, and fans of the band will be glad to know that these work to amazing effects. songs like Lost In You and Last To Know absolutely reek of raw emotion that's so strong that you can feel the air around you get thinner and thinner with each word that's sung, the songs also are a great pleasure to listen to despite the dark places they take you with the turmoils of love and lose, but the songs succeed at this by making a subtle transition from sad to happy that really will wow people who are both familiar and new to the band. But of course almost every record bumps into speed bumps and this one is no exception. Despite his insanely powerful voice, there are moments when Mr. Gontier resembles Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, which will definitely leave most listeners perplexed and a nasty after taste in their mouths. Also the second half of the record feels a twinge too apathetic and somber. The track No More feels like an awkward breath of air and definitely should have been a b-side while the track Bully had every inch of potential into being a fan favorite, but the chorus of "Blame the Family, Blame the Bully" bring the song to an awkward and bloody halt and will make you change tracks immediately. But these aren't deal breakers, This album is a more mature and successful album then anything the band has produced before, a grand departure from their sophomore slump, and vastly impressive musically. Also to note, that album cover really does look cool!

альбом великолепен)
слушал чувствами,жил чувствами,это прекрасно)
не знаю почиму,но грэйсы всегда мне нравились,и их каждая песня меня просто переполняла разными чувствами и эмоциями,и этот альбом не обошёл стороной)
в общем,не буду расписывать свои впечатления и анализы всех песен,это ни к чему)))

На сайте телеканала A-One проходит конкурс, в котором можно выиграть альбом. Хочу отметить критику альбома, которую выложили на сайте:

Гитара теперь тесно переплетается с общим звучанием группы и бэк-вокальными линиями, создавая очень гармоничное и красивое звучание. Однозначно, группа от выраженной ритмики перешла к мелодичному звучанию, свойственному классическому старому року. Возможно, не всем старым фанатам это понравится, но очевидно, что у группы появится немало новых поклонников из-за этого нового, лиричного и проникновенного «Life starts Now».

Knowledge: ‘Life Starts Now’ is the third LP from rock royalty Three Days Grace and the follow-up to the massive ‘One-X’, which netted the boys a pair of number one rock singles, success at top 40 radio, and platinum honors. Oh, and let’s not forget the long-awaited release of a Three Days Grace live DVD in 2008. The band unveiled the first single from ‘Life Starts Now’ on September 1 titled “Break” which has already boogied up to active rock’s top ten.

Turn-Ons: :”Bitter Taste” is just about as close to perfect as you’re going to get. Every in and out of this masterpiece is epic, from Neil Sanderson’s Freese-worthy drum performance to gushing, explosive chorus, whose arrangement is absolutely breathtaking. “World So Cold” tingles the senses with a deep, atmospheric body and tone. This mood broadens the scope of “World So Cold”, which allows the strong emotions an expressive, soul-searching Adam Gontier to flow like leaves in a sky, without distracting from the song’s lyrical concreteness. “Last to Know” is absolute genius, a modern rock movement. Although the haunting, entrancing piano-vocal arrangement of lucky number seven is brilliant, it is the purity of “Last to Know” that makes it truly special. Infectious is the rolling, pumping groove earmarking “Goin’ Down.” Adam Gontier anchors “Goin’ Down” by literally doing just that-and that of course is emphasizing the “o” or “ow” sound of the word, chromatically ending each line in hooky 3’s. Since we’re talking vocals, “Without You” needs to be mentioned, as Gontier nails crafty falsettos and takes on bold register variations without missing a beat. Moving back one spot brings us to “Bully”, a song with an eerie, “creeping-up-behind-you” kind of vibe that cunningly carves out a perfect setting. “Lost In You” will most likely be 3DG’s next dance with top 40, but don’t let that fool you. “Lost In You” boasts incredible character, but most importantly this sounds honest, not made to order for multiple platforms of radio.

Turn-Offs: It won’t surprise any if, er, when “Break” becomes the number one rock song in the country. But take away the Three Days Grace tag and “Break” goes from 5th Avenue to Goodwill. “Lost In You” is a great song but it sure borrows quite liberally from Saving Abel’s “She Got Over Me”. “Bully” shouldn’t be here, but that chorus is so whiney that it deserves to be picked on. Also joining “Bully” in the “shouldn’t be here” team is next-door neighbor “Without You”, whose crime of fouling up Adam Gontier’s lights out vocal performance with an overall mediocre composition. For those of you that enjoyed “Riot” you’re in luck, because its identical twin “The Good Life” bats in the 5-spot on ‘Life Starts Now’. “Riot” was the forgettable part of ‘One-X’ so I’ll let you figure out where that ranks “The Good Life” on ‘Life Starts Now’….

FAIL: “The Good Life”

Cool Points: “Bitter Taste” is the best song ever to come out of camp Three Days Grace. Of course, that’s just my opinion, but even if you’re not as high on “Bitter Taste” as I am, you have to admit that that song is a BAMF. Guitarist Barry Stock pays homage to Jerry Cantrell on “Someone Who Cares”, sprinkling a little bit of Alice In Chains into his arsenal. Even if Three Days Grace leaves a bitter taste in your mouth, you have to admit the voice that comes out of Adam Gontier’s trap is pretty killer. I consider Gontier to be modern rock’s John Mayer….

Moral of the Story: ‘Life Starts Now’ is aptly titled, as Three Days Grace really do sound reborn on this record. The 3DG that made ‘One-X’ can’t even touch the band that pulled off ‘Life Starts Now’. Yes, Three Days Grace stick to their modern rock guns. And yes, ‘Life Starts Now’ was made to have a crossover-ready sound at times. But Three Days Grace have undeniably manned up on ‘Life Starts Now’, as a few spins of the record will show you just how much of an animal Three Days Grace have become.
